A big thank you for attendee's at our inaugural Business hub get together last Friday at the South Nowra grand ballroom.
Lobster, champagne and nibblies were enjoyed by all as business and rugby were put under the microscope.
In our Q & A
We learnt from Duncan Madge from Madge metal fabrication about his ascendancy from lowly apprentice to his plans to now buy the Nowra bridge for conversion to accommodation for his skilled migrant workforce.
We learnt from John Lamont from Nowra chemicals about the companies humble beginnings from living in the factory as a child to employing a workforce of over 100 people. We also learnt that he is an exceptional fisherman and that he has aspirations of being a painter/decorator in his later life
We learnt from Steve Brandon about his coming to Shoalhaven rugby through the bushes and being set upon by Chris Watts. We also learnt of his dark moments of rugby league and then enlightenment back to gods game.
Our next get together is in late April.
Cheers
